Raising the Vaping Age.
Illinois has raised the age to buy cigarettes, vapes and other tobacco related substances from 18 to 21. This is following recent speculation that teens who start vaping at an early age tend to drift further into taking cigarettes due to its addictive nature. The state also added to it that teen vaping has been on the rise due to the meretricious appeal of adding flavors to vapes in addition to customizing them to look enticing.
No smoking in the workplace.
This legal ban was implemented in 1st January 2008 and simply states that there should not be any smoking activities in workplaces. As much as this is so, recent attempts to ban e-cigarettes in the job outlets and places has proven to be null and void. So yes! e-cigarettes are not prohibited in the workplace. However, the state is currently working to include it in the no smoking ban in order to help curb this inveterate act.
Nevertheless, Illinois law has been clear on the issue of vaping by specifically stating that doing it in vape shops and theatrical productions is okay!
