Michigan Vape Laws
Michigan does not have statewide vaping regulations, however, some localities may regulate vaping more strictly than the state. The state defines their vape laws as applicable to any form of tobacco, material or device that’s used in the smoking including, rolling papers, cigarette papers, pipes, electronic devices and other components such as, e-cigs, electronic cigars, electronic pipes or vape pens.
That said, it’s important to note that in Michigan, vaping is banned in most of the areas which are smoke free such as childcare facilities, workplaces, inside cars with minors, state parks, beaches, and historic sites. There is also a partial vape ban in Washtenaw County. This county has banned vaping in all enclosed workplaces, except in bars and restaurants, and it’s also not illegal to use a vaporizer inside your home.
