New York City, America’s most famous city and home to the iconic Empire State building and the Central Park is the most populated city in America with above 27000 people per mile squared. You have probably seen it in the most popular movies, visited it or even live in it, but do you know that it would take someone approximately twenty-four hours to navigate the whole subway system?
Another very interesting fact about this beautiful city is the fact that 275 different species of birds have made appearances in Central Park. During spring migration, bird watchers have been recorded to have spotted over 100 different species of birds a day. The yellow colored taxi is a New York City icon but this hasn’t always been the case. Originally, the taxis were colored green and red. The yellow color was adopted in 1912 by New York.
New York Vape Laws
Vaping and e-cigarettes are banned in all non-smoking areas including indoor public areas like restaurants, bars, beaches, parks and all government buildings. These vaping regulations mean that it is illegal to smoke e-cigarettes in public places just as it is for regular cigarettes. This is after Governor Cuomo signed a bill that places both old and new nicotine delivery systems under the same restrictions. These vaping laws became effective on November 22, 2017. The Governor stated that as much as these products are being advertised as a healthier alternative, they still have long-term risks to the general health of the users.
New York’s age restriction of the sale of cigarettes is 21 years. These vaping laws by State of New York also apply to New York tourism sites like the Central Park and the Empire State Building. These vape bans also apply to the tourists that visit New York but they have not affected the number of tourists that visit these places.
